The rumours were true... Apple had an event last night where they predominantly highlighted new MacBook Pro's, as far as to say that "The MacBook Pro is better than the MacBook Air in every way".

They spent a good deal of that event talking about a Touch Strip bar replacing the function keys on the keyboard. The bar would change depending on which application is on the screen.

This is an alternative to having a touch screen, meaning you're not raising your arms constantly, and the strip also includes TouchID, which can switch the user based on who is using their thumb print.

The question to ask here is would you use this bar consistently?
Are you a touch typer where having a touch strip wouldn't really matter?
Do you like the idea of having to constantly look up and down to see information?

The MacBook Pro with touch bar starts at £1,449.00
